Twitter blew up with several reviewers who discovered similar flaws or removed what seemed like a disposable screen protector which was actually an integral part of the phone’s structure. Samsung refunded pre-orders of the device and pushed back the date indefinitely.

Amazon Expands AmazonFresh Service to Houston, Minneapolis, Phoenix
Amazon Fresh is a grocery delivery and pickup service only in select cities worldwide. Currently, Prime Members can get a subscription to AmazonFresh for an additional $14.99 per month. Amazon started this service in 2017 in the United Kingdom and has expanded the service to more than 300 postcodes across the U.K. The service even offers delivery in less than one-hour from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. all week.

The chain, with more than 222 stores across 33 states, adds to the nearly 8,000 store closures for 2019, surpassing 2018’s total store closures. According to Business Insider, the store will drop prices by 30-50 percent on all of its items. Avenue offered brands and clothing in women’s sizes 14-32.

Pizza Hut Announces 500 Closures over 2-Year Period
The fast food retail chain, Pizza Hut, decided to reduce and change its current store models from dine in to “modern express stores” over the next two years, according to National Restaurant News. Another Casualty in Retail Apocalypse: Walgreens to Close 200 Stores
As research analyst Coresight Research predicted Aug. 2 that more than 12,000 stores would close before 2019 ends, another retailer announced hundreds of store closures nationwide. Store Closures Could Reach More Than 12,000 In U.S. Before End Of 2019
As many retailers have shuttered their stores, filed for bankruptcy or reduced its retail footprint, analysts at Coresight Research predict that the store closure number could reach more than 12,000 before 2019 is over. Apple’s third quarter earnings show third-consecutive slump in iPhone sales
Apple’s third quarter results suggest the company saw revenue of $53.8 billion — about a 1 percent increase over last year’s third quarter results. Apple’s move into the fourth quarter shows goals of revenue increase from $61-$64 billion in revenue and a gross margin of 37.5-38.5 percent. According to the New York Times, Apple posted a 13 percent net-income earnings decrease from last year, suggesting iPhone sales the culprit behind the techno gadget company’s slide.

Amazon to Open New Pittsburg Fulfillment Center
At the end of last month, Amazon announced some new plans to expand its already-wide network of fulfillment centers by opening a new one in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.The online retail giant expects that the center will provide nearly 800 full-time jobs for workers with a minimum pay rate starting at $15 per hour with benefits.
