Well, we may not be able to say for certain what we’ll get to see on the Xbox Series X, but we do have a list of titles that we’ll be able to play on the PlayStation 5, as well as a few guesses as to which other titles we’ll get to see on the future.

EA Electronic Arts

Electronic Arts Has Announced That They Will Release More Games For The Switch

If there’s one console Electronic Arts has mostly ignored since its release, it is the Nintendo Switch. The past few generations of EA titles have not made it to the handheld console, or if they have, it has been quite rare and rather sparingly. A sad thing to consider for Switch owning EA fans, but that may end up changing sooner rather than later. During EA Play, the company made a statement about being more committed to Switch titles, with a total of seven games supposed to come out on the console in the next 12 months.

Star Wars: Squadrons Has Been Revealed Ahead Of Schedule Thanks To An Xbox Leak

Thanks to the leaks coming out all over the internet, Electronic Arts went ahead and announced the title officially. Square Enix Final Fantasy 14

Fan Fest For Final Fantasy 14 Cancelled, 5.3 Patch Delayed

Delays are certainly nothing new in the video game industry, especially this year, what with the virus and all. Of course, that doesn’t make it any less unfortunate when things get cancelled and delayed, and on the chopping block this time around is the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn North American Fan Festival. While it had originally been scheduled for this year, Square Enix is now considering a 2021 date for the fan festival. On top of that, the 5.3 patch for the game is being delayed by at least a month. This information was revealed through a post on the official website, in which producer and director Naoki Yoshida claimed that complications from the COVID-19 situation were the reason for both the cancellation and the patch delay.

Sony Confirms A New Date For Their PS5 Games Event

For anyone that’s been keeping up with us or Sony in general, they know that a virtual event Sony had intended to hold a few days ago was delayed. The virtual event was going to reveal some information about the upcoming PlayStation 5, as well as some of the games that were going to launch with it or be available on it. While it was originally supposed to be on June 4th, the event was delayed. Sony’s reasoning for this was tied to the protests regarding the death of George Floyd. In their own words, they felt as though it was an inappropriate time to hold a virtual event like that when there were more important voices to be heard in the community.

The CEO Of PlayStation Believes That The Development Of New Games Will Cost A Bit More

This probably shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone: as games become more and more advanced in scope and graphics, chances are it is going to take more workers, more time, and more money to make them. Simple economics: the more complex a product is, the more it costs to produce, and usually, the more it costs to buy as a consumer. Whether or not games will be more expensive for consumers to buy anytime soon remains to be seen, but for now, Jim Ryan, President of Sony Interactive Entertainment, is convinced that production of next gen games will be more expensive, though only slightly.

As you might imagine, a deal like that isn’t for brand new games or even really recent ones: it’s a bundle of games from the old school Sega Genesis console. They’re retro titles, but that doesn’t make this any less of an impressive deal.
