Fallout 76

Fallout 76’s Most Anticipated Update has been Delayed to 2020

Anyone who remembers the initial launch of Fallout 76 remembers that it was pretty bad; or rather, a downright catastrophe in most regards. There were a couple of things that made the initial launch so distinctly poor, but if there’s one thing almost every player could agree on as being an utterly terrible design decision, it was the lack of human NPCs in an RPG game. Imagine a Fallout game where there is no one to talk to at all aside from robots and computer recordings. It was and is as bad as it sounds, being one of the most vocal complaints from players everywhere, so it makes sense that Bethesda would try to fix it.

The Popular Return of the Obra Dinn Will Soon be Available on PS4, Xbox,...

It’s always good news when a once exclusive game makes it onto other platforms so other people can enjoy it. Such is the case with Return of the Obra Dinn from 2018, a puzzle game from Lucas Pope that was, until now, a PC exclusive title. Pope announced recently on Twitter that the game will become available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on October 18th.

The Free Rabbids Coding Game Teaches a Valuable Skill for the Modern Age

If there’s one thing that can’t be denied, it’s that coding is a very important part of modern society. A whole lot of important things in our world are dictated by lines of computer code that someone had to carefully type up. That said, learning coding isn’t easy, and it’s usually expensive, and it is rarely fun. At least, that’s the usual case. Because as of October 8th, Rabbids Coding was added to Uplay, and the game is free.
A Five-Year Plan for Destiny 2 means a Sequel is Probably Nowhere in Sight

A Five-Year Plan for Destiny 2 means a Sequel is Probably Nowhere in Sight

With a few exceptions, it seems like video games are starting to follow one collective trend; the gap between franchise installments is getting longer and longer. It seems that we have to wait several years now between games in almost any series, and that includes ones we usually don’t associate with such things, like shooters. Destiny 2 came out back in 2017; that’s not terribly old, but with Bungie revealing a five year roadmap of sorts for the game, starting October 1st, it seems that a Destiny 3 is well and truly a far off prospect.
Hideo Kojima is Already Considering a Death Stranding Sequel

Hideo Kojima is Already Considering a Death Stranding Sequel

Death Stranding is an incredibly strange game: according to Kojima it is part of the ‘strand game’ genre, but according to Kojima, that genre includes supernatural phenomenon, the wilderness, social networking, and item delivery. Maybe the genre sounds so strange because it’s a new one that Kojima is trying to solidify himself.
Borderlands 3 is off to a Rough Start with Issues on all Platforms

Borderlands 3 is off to a Rough Start with Issues on all Platforms

Despite a Day One update, Borderlands 3 is in a pretty rough place right now, with all sorts of issues being reported by players across all platforms. The most common and numerous complaints include drops in FPS, severe multiplayer lag, and even corrupted saves. All very bad things to experience right after a much anticipated game comes out.
You can Save $8 on Super Mario Maker 2

You can Save $8 on Super Mario Maker 2

Quite frankly, Nintendo games don’t go on sale very often, so in the rare event that they do, you should always take advantage of it, even if the savings are small. $8 off of a $60 game isn’t the greatest discount you could ever see, but that’s still $8 you don’t have to spend. In the case of Super Mario Maker 2, there’s a deal going on at Amazon right now in which you can get it for $51.98; just over $8 of its usual price of $59.99. Considering how popular the game is, chances are its worth a buy for Mario fans, so getting even a little bit off is better than paying full price.
Two Classic Disney Games are getting a Faceliftvideo

Two Classic Disney Games are getting a Facelift – Aladdin and The Lion King

Sometimes, we even love going back to play games that are objectively bad just because they were good enough for us as kids. We usually have to enjoy those old titles in their original form, but every once in a while we get a cool remaster that puts a fresh spin on a major part of our childhood. Apparently, Disney is interested in doing this for two early 90s games, Aladdin and The Lion King.

Microsoft States that it has no Plans to Introduce more Xbox Exclusive Titles to...

It came as a major surprise when Nintendo thanked Microsoft for allowing Cuphead, originally an Xbox Exclusive, to be made available on the Switch. As you may imagine, major companies usually don’t let their exclusive titles appear on their competitor’s platforms, but Microsoft even announced that they would even publish Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition on the Nintendo Switch as well. We’ve known for a while that Microsoft and Nintendo were aiming to promote cross-platform play together, but this was unexpected. Unfortunately, it seems that we won’t see any other Xbox exclusive titles coming to other platforms in the foreseeable future. We know this due to a statement made by a Microsoft spokesperson.

Fortnite Developer Epic Games wants to Build a New Platform for Selling Video Games

If you are a PC gamer, there’s really only one destination for buying games, and that’s Steam. It’s fast, it’s easy, and it’s often pretty affordable, thanks to the numerous sales that the platform often runs. Steam is the undisputed king of video game sales on the internet, but Epic Games is looking into potentially opposing that dominance.

An Upcoming Battlefield V Map Will Harken Back to the Old Days of Battlefield 3

The Battlefield V Map Will Harken Back to the Old Days of Battlefield 3

If you asked longtime Battlefield fans what their favorite multiplayer map of the series is, you’d undoubtedly get a wide array of answers. But about half of them would likely say it was the immensely popular Metro of Battlefield 3 and 4. This tightly packed underground warzone was a huge hit, with frenetic linear action that never failed to be intense. Unfortunately, Battlefield fans haven’t gotten anything quite like it in Battlefield 1 or V, but that all changed this week.
Wendy's Feast of Legendsvideo

Wendy’s Launches its own Video Game – Feast of Legends

Remember when KFC said they were going to make a dating simulator? Remember when we all thought it was an early April Fools’ joke? Well, not only was KFC completely serious, and not only did they release it as planned, but it seems like they may start a whole new type of game genre; the fast food publisher kind. As it turns out, now Wendy’s is doing the same thing, releasing a role playing video game under their own moniker.

The Newest PUBG Update Introduces Cross-Play to the Game

It’s a common line of thinking; if a game is available on multiple platforms, being able to play against players from any platform would be a good thing. It ensures that there are more players to face off against in matchmaking, which is never a bad thing. That said, it took Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds some time to make the cross-platform move, but the most recent update is here, and with it, cross-play.

Call of Duty Mobile is now Available on iOS and Android

Call of Duty is the type of franchise that really just keeps on going and branching out, cranking out new releases at breakneck speeds. Granted, they aren’t always good, but at least there’s always something new right around the corner. Call of Duty Mobile was one of the newest goals for the franchise, and it received an early release on Monday. The Launch was a bit rough, but the game is now available on both iOS and Android platforms.

A New Super Mario Maker 2 Update adds a Play with Friends Mode

The newest Super Mario Maker 2 update has added exactly those two things to the game. New Xbox Games have been Announced for Game Pass

New Xbox Games have been Announced for Game Pass

Xbox Game Pass regularly changes out which type of games are available, by both adding and taking away different games. We don’t have any news about which games will soon be leaving Game Pass, but we can tell you which new games will soon be added to the streaming service. New games are added every month, after all, and October’s games are worth a look.
Pokemon Go Stardust

This Week’s Pokémon Go Event is Giving out a Ton of Stardust

Pokémon Go regularly holds events in order to keep things entertaining for the players. Sometimes it is special raids, sometimes it is the ability catch Pokémon with special moves. This time it’s all about giving out that sweet Stardust. To be fair, the event, Stardust Blast, has been held before, but Niantic will be bringing it back for October 3rd to October 10th, allowing players to get much more Stardust than usual.
