Remember when KFC said they were going to make a dating simulator? Remember when we all thought it was an early April Fools’ joke? Well, not only was KFC completely serious, and not only did they release it as planned, but it seems like they may start a whole new type of game genre; the fast food publisher kind. As it turns out, now Wendy’s is doing the same thing, releasing a role playing video game under their own moniker.

That’s right, Wendy’s is launching a Dungeons and Dragons style game they are calling Feast of Legends. Like the Colonel Sanders dating sim, we swear this isn’t a joke. There’s a website for it and everything, and they even already have a game description ready for us to peruse, though it’s pretty sparse.

“The nation of Freshtovia has been the lone beacon of hope in the land of Beef’s Keep for decades. However, the Ice Jester and his rogue’s gallery of frozen fiends threaten Queen Wendy’s reign of prosperity. Prepare your heroes for adventure.”

The description goes on to specify that this will be very similar to Dungeons and Dragons.

“Feast of Legends is what is known as a tabletop role-playing game,” Wendy’s says. “Using the book, you can create a character and choose every aspect of who they are. The players will interact with the story that one person, your Game Master, leads you through. This is a game where you become the character you create and act out the adventure. Get your friends together, and that one guy from work that always explains the intimate details of every graphic novel he reads, and dive into the game!”

So yeah, absolutely D&D, but with hamburgers and stuff. Aside from that though, we don’t really know much about it, other than the fact that it is live and ready to download right now.

What we do know is that the website also allows you to order hamburgers and have them delivered via DoorDash. That, and the fact that Wendy’s said on the Twitter post about all this that it would be their FIRST tabletop RPG, which implies that they might be thinking about making more. Honestly, the idea of a fast food video game market being created sounds kind of awesome. Maybe each chain will have their own genre of game? Chick-Fil-A strategy games? The Burger King of Fighters? At this point, who can tell?
