Company Of Heroes 3 Is On the Way – Review And What To Expect

Company of Heroes is a storied and respected franchise of strategy war games beloved by many. Most of the people reading this review are probably well aware of how it basically goes, thanks to experience with one of the prior games. For good or for ill, much of the gameplay you’ll find in Company of Heroes 3 is exactly what you’d expect based on experience with those previous games...

What’s Known About FIFA 22 Right Now: Release Date, Next Gen Upgrade, and More

The time has come: EA Sports has officially announced FIFA 22, and they’ve provided us with a fair number of details, including who will be on the cover of the game, next gen exclusive features, how to upgrade to a next generation version, and what is new to the series overall. Of special mention is the “Dual Entitlement” edition, which will allow you to get the game on both Xbox and PlayStation if you get the $100 Ultimate edition. More details on that later...

Teasers for PUBG New State Have Revealed a Host of New Features, Including Weapon...

The futuristic brother game to PUBG Mobile, called PUBG New State, has received a trailer and two videos, called Field Trip to Troi, episode one and two. These releases have finally given expectant players some insights and introduction to the game’s maps and features. The first thing to be released was the teaser video, which gives players a peek at the new setting for PUBG New State, the futuristic city of Troi, though it has certainly seen better days. Much like the way PUBG started out, Troi appears to be the only map in the game thus far, and it has a size of 8×8. The trailer gave players a look at several areas on the map, namely the mall, the laboratory, the exhibit hall, and the trailer park.
NieR Automata

NieR Automata Finally Gets the Steam Patch it Has Needed for the Past Four...

NieR Automata is still a phenomenal game with people singing its praises around the whole world. With how much love and attention the game has received from fans, one would think that any issues, like bugs or glitches, would be addressed fairly quickly. Well, that’s just not the case, at least not for the Steam version of the game. The PC version of NieR Automata has had issues with framerate and video issues for roughly four years, which is pretty crazy...
Netflix

Netflix Hires Former EA and Zynga Executive in Pursuit of a Video Game Offering...

This is about as weird as it sounds: according to reports from Bloomberg, Netflix is laying the groundwork to get into the video game industry. This has raised a lot of questions and uncertainties, though it’s worth noting that the only things that exist right now are plans, and those are subject to change. What we know right now is that Netflix has hired Mike Verdu, a former EA and Zynga executive as their vice president of game development. According to the report, "The idea is to offer video games on Netflix's streaming platform within the next year” and "The company doesn't currently plan to charge extra for the content.”...
Doom Eternal Gaming

Doom Eternal Switches Gears on Planned Invasion Mode, and Focuses on Horde Mode Instead

Id Software, the developer behind critically acclaimed Doom Eternal, has recently revealed that a game mode they had planned for the game, called Invasion Mode, has been canceled. This post-launch mode was apparently going to allow players to enter the games of other players and control demons within them. Anyone who has played Dark Souls is familiar with the idea of invading another player’s world and giving them grief. The idea was interesting, but it is now being replaced with a single-player horde mode. Unfortunately, the Invasion mode was deemed too ambitious, considering the strife many development studios and console companies are still facing due to COVID...
EA Sports

EA Claims That Reports Regarding In-Game Ads on Their Console Titles are False

Thanks to a number of bad decisions made by Electronic Arts in the past few years, their reputation isn’t exactly the best. Despite owning a number of game franchises that are greatly beloved, EA has a tendency to shoehorn something in that harms the experience: usually, something to do with money. Many still remember the loot box crises of Battlefront II and Halo Infinite. However, even EA wouldn’t go so far as to literally put ads in their games, right? Or would they really force you to watch an ad between Battlefield matches, a la YouTube? Well, some concerns have arisen regarding this matter, following a report from Axios that stated that Simulmedia, the makers of the in-game ad platform known as PlayerWON, signed a deal with EA for exactly that: in-game ads...
Assassin’s Creed Infinity Game

The Distant Assassin’s Creed: Infinity – What We Currently Known About

Assassin’s Creed was, for a time, a lot like Call of Duty, in the sense that you could expect a new entry in the series roughly every year. Oddly enough, it’s actually been a relatively long time since the last Assassin’s Creed game. Now though, it seems that Ubisoft may be working on biggest, most ambitious entry in the series, one that promises to be “a massive online platform that evolves over time.” Don’t get your hopes up too early though, as this foretold entry is still years away at best.
Nintendo Switch OLED

New Nintendo Switch Model, Designated OLED, Coming Soon

Nintendo recently announced that they will be releasing the Nintendo Switch OLED model, a new version of the Switch we all know and love. This new hardware revision will include a larger screen, an ethernet port, 64 gigabits of storage, and improved audio performance. The launch date for this new OLED Switch is set for October 8th which is also the release date for Metroid: Dread. Unfortunately, there is no evidence that there will be a Metroid-themed model, but that also doesn’t mean it isn’t a possibility...
Everything Currently Known About Fable 4video

Everything Currently Known About Fable 4

It’s been a very long time in gaming terms since Fable 3 came out. Since then, the popular series from Lionsgate has pretty much faded away. The franchise didn’t even get an entry on the Xbox One, and it’s been more than ten years since Fable 3: practically an eternity in this field. But now, the Fable franchise is finally looking at a rebirth on the Xbox Series X|S. Of course, we’ve actually known that for a little while, since Microsoft gave us a reveal trailer for a new Fable game back in their 2020 showcase. Oddly enough though, information about the new Fable game has been especially vague since then...
Halo Infinite

How to Register for the Halo Infinite Beta

With E3, players finally managed to get a bit more insight into the upcoming next entry in the immensely popular and famous Halo franchise, Halo Infinite. The year-long delay from its initial release date was a heavy blow for many fans, admittedly, 2021 is a good year for the release, being the 20th anniversary of both Halo and even the Xbox brand. But more important than any of that is the fact that there’s a beta coming up for Infinite this summer prior to its full release, and there is of course a way for prospective players to get into it. According to the developers, it should be a fairly easy matter to sign up for this beta, though it’ll be even easier if we talk about how to get in.
New E3 Details About Rainbow Six Extraction, Including a Release Datevideo

New E3 Details About Rainbow Six Extraction, Including a Release Date

Rainbow Six, arguably one of the most successful of Tom Clancy’s many properties, has had many iterations over the years. However, there’s no doubting that Rainbow Six Siege is the most popular and successful of those iterations, heavily focusing on character-centric team-dependent multiplayer in a series that had previously possessed far more single-player content. Lots of people really like Siege, in no small part due to the many unique Operators it has to offer. But a lot of people also wanted to see some of those characters in actual stories, in gameplay that wasn’t purely competitive multiplayer. Ubisoft apparently got the memo, perhaps due to that successful co-op Outbreak event a few years back, and now Rainbow Six Extraction is on its way...
What We Know About the New Battlefield Game: Battlefield 2042video

What We Know About the New Battlefield Game: Battlefield 2042

On June 9th, game developed DICE finally revealed the newest entry into their much beloved Battlefield franchise: Battlefield 2042. Before now, it was unofficially known as Battlefield 6. Even though all we got on the 9th was a reveal trailer, we do actually have a surprising amount of information about the game at this time, all of which we’ll share with you now. First off is a kind of odd detail, that being, that Battlefield 2042 will be completely multiplayer, with no traditional campaign element whatsoever, which is something that has been in most Battlefield games in some capacity...
Elden Ring Game

Details About Elden Ring from E3: Optional Multiplayer and More

From Software is the well-known developer behind the Dark Souls games, and while that series is in the past, they have been making other titles in the same realm of gameplay. Most anticipated this year is Elden Ring, though admittedly, there’s not a whole lot of info on it right now. That said, excited gamers did still learn a few things about the hotly anticipated title during E3...
Overwatch is Getting a Cross Play Beta Soonvideo

Overwatch is Getting a Cross Play Beta Soon

Overwatch is not quite as hype as it used to be, due to age if nothing else. But it’s still going strong, and often getting new content. Oddly enough, said content is a little different this time around, as rather than being the addition of characters or skins like you would expect, it’s actually about cross play, officially on its way...
Twitch Subscriptions

Changes to Twitch Subscription Prices are Coming For a Majority of Countries Relatively Soon

It goes without saying that the value of money varies from country to country. This can be a problem when it comes to international subscription services that are trying to make universal prices for all of the countries they offer their services to. One such business is Twitch, the Amazon-owned streaming service. That’s why Twitch will soon be making a varied series of subscription pricing changes for countries outside of the United States.
Xbox Series X

Finding an Xbox Series X|S in June 2021

Even many months after its debut, finding an Xbox Series X|S is not particularly easy. Even though they are sporadically restocked at a number of retailers, they tend to be bought out very quickly, even if the stock is in the form of a very expensive bundle. Making matters worse is the way restocks often occur without much notice, so a lot of people don’t even know stock was available until it is sold out again.
Steam Gaming

For a Limited Time, Little Nightmares and Company of Heroes 2 are Free on...

Nothing beats free, but more importantly, nothing beats free games: especially if they are of a good variety! The good news is that two games are available for download on PC for anyone and everyone to keep permanently. Those two games are Little Nightmares and Company of Heroes 2. For some reason, there are no concrete dates on exactly how long one of these free games will be available, so it would be a good idea to pick it up as soon as possible if you are interested.
Xbox Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite for PC Information: Cross-play, Cross-Progression and More

Microsoft has revealed some new information specifically regarding the PC edition of Halo Infinite within a blog post that was focused on the company’s bigger vision for the future of PC gaming. In this blog post, Microsoft shared that Infinite will have both cross-progression and cross-play for multiplayer.
Nier Replicant Game

Remastered Nier Replicant Game Review

While Nier: Automata highlighted the discovery of humanity in a world that almost forgotten it, Nier Replicant is about the struggle and burden to preserve the little bit of humanity the world has left. Being a Nier game, there is a consistent melancholy that follows the characters of Nier Replicant. Players get to see how tragic life can be, but if all the game’s conclusions are completed, it ultimately reveals the poetic beauty of life, hard though it may be...
