On July 9, we will be getting the first-ever all virtual Witcher event, and while it is still some ways off, Netflix has gone ahead and provided expectant fans with a breakdown of sorts regarding the virtual show’s schedule. WitcherCon will be streaming on both YouTube and Twitch via Netflix’s channels at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, to be hosted by television presenter Julia Hardy.
For a brief summary of the show’s schedule, you can just skip down to the bottom of this article.
The Witcher showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and many members of the show’s cast will begin WitcherCon by drawing cards from a deck of fan questions, which will be used to guide the panel’s discussion and some shenanigans orchestrated by the fans.
Following that opening, CD Projekt Red will discuss the illustrious franchise and its unique past, with another panel being a quiz game of sorts between the cast of the TV show and the developers of the games. There will be another panel focusing on the yet-to-be-released board game and comic books from The Witcher expanded universe, discussing where and when those will take place within the canon. The main event of WitcherCon will be Tales from the White Wolf: A Spotlight Conversation with Henry Cavill.
That will be hosted by Josh Horowitz, and will end with Cavill talking about the show, though it was hinted that there would also potentially be “a surprise or two.” With The Witcher Season 2 done shooting and in post-production, many believe that surprise or two may be hinting at a new teaser reveal for the upcoming season. There was a recently released promo during Netflix’s Geeked Week that gave everyone a new look for Freya Allan’s portrayal of Ciri.
