Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch is sold out all over the place, making prices more expensive than usual

With COVID-19 impacting nearly every industry around the world, shipping and supply chains have been hit particularly hard. Fact of the matter is, the retail stock of the Nintendo Switch is practically nonexistent right now, and there’s no word as to when they may be restocked. That being the case, getting your hands on a Switch right now would cost you a whole lot more than usual. Naturally, you’d be hard-pressed to find some recent Switch releases, like Doom Eternal or the new Animal Crossing.

Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2 Remastered

A remastered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 could be in the Near Future

It was all the way back in 2017 that Activision Blizzard remastered the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. And thanks to a leak from the South Korean ratings board, it seems that the sequel to the fan favorite may be on track to get the same treatment.

This information comes from the Game Rating and Administration Committee, or GRAC. Their site has a listing for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, registered on February 26th. Of course, the name makes it obvious that this remaster only tackles the campaign, and not the multiplayer, but anything is better than nothing by a long shot. That said, the original Modern Warfare remastered did also have its multiplayer included, with fresh achievements and tweaks. That said, the listing for Modern Warfare 2’s campaign could just be separate from the multiplayer: there’s no guarantee that the multiplayer for the second game isn’t a getting a remastered treatment as well.

It seems that every anticipated game, show and movie has been delayed or cancelled and Halo Infinite is not exempt from the viral crosshairs, as made clear by statements from the developers.

CD Projekt Red

New game set in The Witcher universe rumored to be next in line after Cyberpunk 2077

The massive success of game developer CD Projekt Red can only be attributed to how amazing the Witcher series of games is in almost every aspect. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the most critically acclaimed RPGs out there, and needless to say, fans of the series are always looking for more content. A dedicated Gwent game is a wonderful start, but it’s not enough to scratch that itch.

Google Stadia will be Adding Five more Games Soon

Google Stadia will be Adding Five more Games Soon

Google Stadia originally launched with a somewhat scant array of games, especially considering how hyped up the service was. But the letdown was fixed pretty quickly, and Google has announced that five more games will be coming to the service in the coming months, 3 of which will be timed exclusives. Games coming this spring and summer include Spitlings, Stacks on Stacks (On Stacks), and Lost Words: Beyond the Page. However, no release dates for these particular games have been announced yet. That said, we do know that these games will be released on Stadia before they become available on any other platform, so Stadia will be the first place to gain access to them.

Microsoft is Paying People to Find Bugs in Their Software

Microsoft is Paying People to Find Bugs in Their Software

Too good to be true! Right, gamers? A recent article from CBR has exposed a lucrative opportunity for eagle eyed gamers who want to earn money by pointing out bugs and other software related issues in Microsoft products.

CBR reports “In recent years, as computer security has become more of a concern for everyone, trying to get ahead of the bugs and vulnerabilities that cause hacks and denial of service attacks is a higher and higher priority. Microsoft has been in on this game for a while, but they just recently launched the Xbox Bounty Program, taking what has become a relatively standard ‘bug bounty’ program and bringing it to another video game console. If you find a major bug in an Xbox Live service and report it to them, you could get paid for it.”

Pokemon

Pokemon Home is now Available for iOS, Android and Switch

Pokemon Home, previously announced for a February 2020 release, has been launched on time. This cloud based subscription service mainly allows you to transfer Pokemon from older games into the newest titles, Sword and Shield. While it had been announced that it would be released in February of this year, no specific release date had been confirmed, so it’s a bit of a surprise to get our hands on it so suddenly.

Similar to the Pokemon Bank service, Home allows you to store Pokemon that you’ve caught from various games, much like the storage system that is actually in the games. Two versions of Home exist, with the mobile version for iOS and Android having some nifty features like trading available, but they are a companion app to the main instance of Home for the Switch itself.
