With COVID-19 impacting nearly every industry around the world, shipping and supply chains have been hit particularly hard. Fact of the matter is, the retail stock of the Nintendo Switch is practically nonexistent right now, and there’s no word as to when they may be restocked. It was all the way back in 2017 that Activision Blizzard remastered the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. And thanks to a leak from the South Korean ratings board, it seems that the sequel to the fan favorite may be on track to get the same treatment.
This information comes from the Game Rating and Administration Committee, or GRAC. Their site has a listing for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, registered on February 26th. Of course, the name makes it obvious that this remaster only tackles the campaign, and not the multiplayer, but anything is better than nothing by a long shot. That said, the original Modern Warfare remastered did also have its multiplayer included, with fresh achievements and tweaks. That said, the listing for Modern Warfare 2’s campaign could just be separate from the multiplayer: there’s no guarantee that the multiplayer for the second game isn’t a getting a remastered treatment as well.

Beginning on March 27th and ending on the 29th, developer Illfonic will have a trial weekend for the soon to be released asymmetrical shooter, Predator: Hunting Grounds. Google Stadia originally launched with a somewhat scant array of games, especially considering how hyped up the service was. But the letdown was fixed pretty quickly, and Google has announced that five more games will be coming to the service in the coming months, 3 of which will be timed exclusives. Games coming this spring and summer include Spitlings, Stacks on Stacks (On Stacks), and Lost Words: Beyond the Page. However, no release dates for these particular games have been announced yet. Too good to be true! Right, gamers? A recent article from CBR has exposed a lucrative opportunity for eagle eyed gamers who want to earn money by pointing out bugs and other software related issues in Microsoft products.
CBR reports “In recent years, as computer security has become more of a concern for everyone, trying to get ahead of the bugs and vulnerabilities that cause hacks and denial of service attacks is a higher and higher priority. Microsoft has been in on this game for a while, but they just recently launched the Xbox Bounty Program, taking what has become a relatively standard ‘bug bounty’ program and bringing it to another video game console. If you find a major bug in an Xbox Live service and report it to them, you could get paid for it.”

Pokemon Home, previously announced for a February 2020 release, has been launched on time. This cloud based subscription service mainly allows you to transfer Pokemon from older games into the newest titles, Sword and Shield. While it had been announced that it would be released in February of this year, no specific release date had been confirmed, so it’s a bit of a surprise to get our hands on it so suddenly.
Similar to the Pokemon Bank service, Home allows you to store Pokemon that you’ve caught from various games, much like the storage system that is actually in the games. Two versions of Home exist, with the mobile version for iOS and Android having some nifty features like trading available, but they are a companion app to the main instance of Home for the Switch itself.

Despite the initial idea that the Outer Worlds would potentially be an Xbox exclusive title, we’ve known for some time that it was coming to the Nintendo Switch (and it released for a bunch of other platforms besides).
