Thanks to a new report from Bloomberg, a lot of the behind-the-scenes projects going down at PlayStation have been revealed, at least to an extent. That includes a whole lot of information, but for us, the most important of all that information is the fact that Naughty Dog is apparently working on a The Last of Us remake. That’s the most noteworthy to us, but we’d be remiss to not mention that Days Gone studio Sony Bend is apparently working on yet another Uncharted game. Unfortunately, Days Gone is not going to get a sequel, according to the report.

During the recent showcase from publisher Square Enix, Crystal Dynamics revealed their roadmap for the immediate future of Marvel’s Avengers video game. In their announcement, they revealed upcoming content in order to let fans know that the game would be getting more, and that support was ongoing. Perhaps most importantly, the showcase confirmed that the game will see the addition of new characters to the roster, such as Black Panther.

If there’s one thing that would evoke images of an earlier time in media, it’s the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They’re zany, they’re kind of ridiculous, and they’re classic enough to have a bunch of games on consoles that today’s kids don’t even know existed. NES? It’s practically a floppy disk to kids these days. Needless to say, the heroes in a half shell have been around the block: they’re old, and attempts to reboot them over the years have been met with mixed results.

Quite possibly one of the most popular Star Wars games of all time, Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords has long been denied the mobile release that its predecessor received, much to the chagrin of its many, many fans. However, that state of affairs will soon be over, as this highly popular Star Wars game is finally getting a mobile release. First and foremost, it’s worth noting that this will be available on both iOS and Android devices, so whatever your preference, you won’t be hurting for the game.

The past few years have been a great time for fans of old games. Tons of titles have gotten reboots and remasters, bringing great joy to any gamer that was in love with nostalgia and the games of their childhood. Unfortunately, not every game gets a remaster, so some fans are left with dismay and disappointment. Fans of SaGa Frontier, a JRPG from Square Enix that was released for the PS1 in 1998, this was the case for them. But thankfully, that is no longer the situation for fans of that title, as a remaster has been announced, and it’s even better than it sounds at first.

Officially, Rockstar will be separating Red Dead Online from Red Dead Redemption 2, the game that it is the multiplayer component for. If you aren’t sure what that means, it’s basically this: on the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, you’ll be able to buy the online component of Red Dead Redemption 2 as its own standalone product. That of course means it won't be free to play either.

Originally, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands was scheduled to release on October 27th, a date that is now past. However, much to the chagrin of numerous excited gamers, the game was delayed in order to “add more polish” and ensure that it was as good as it could be before release. Thankfully, the delay is a matter of weeks, not months, like many other 2020 releases. We know now that World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will be available on November 23rd.

Ubisoft has pushed two of its biggest upcoming titles, Rainbow Six Quarantine and Far Cry 6, out of the current fiscal year and into the fiscal year for 2021 to 2022. Unfortunately, this is quite the delay and provides us with a huge window for when either game may become available. They may come out anytime between April 2021 and March 2022. During an earnings call, CFO Frédérick Duguet said that the window of time may be slightly smaller, claiming that they should drop in the first half of the fiscal year. However, that is not a guarantee or confirmation that they will.

We have all found new hobbies in the age of quarantine, some of them fairly expensive. You may have found in your stay at home adventures the escape video games can bring. Whether you have a console or play on PC the price of playing doesn’t always come cheap.

Like a great number Assassin's Creed games that have come before this most recent title, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will get a very significant amount of post-launch DLC, which is no surprise for a Ubisoft game. That said, some of the DLC will be free, while other parts will be locked behind a $40 season pass. After all, content takes money to make, so no surprise there either.

The headline of this article is something you probably never expected to read. We’re going to level with you: we weren’t expecting it either. And yet, it’s a true statement. Atari is looking to launch a new console this coming fall, but along with it, a new form of cryptocurrency as well. The Atari VCS is supposed to be available come November, and players will be able to buy things for it using currency dubbed “Atari Tokens.” These tokens are in fact backed by Bitcoin.
