Travis Knight is the Sixth Director Chosen to take Command of the Uncharted Movie

Uncharted has been one of Sony’s most popular exclusive franchises, gaining well deserved renown in nearly all circles of PlayStation, so it’s no surprise that a movie was determined to be a good idea. However, it’s been pretty hectic thus far, with five different directors trading places prior to Travis Knight, who is now the sixth director to be put in charge of the film. If we’re lucky, maybe he’ll be the last, which will allow the movie to finally get underway.

Sony has just recently added the longtime game developer Insomniac Games to their roster. Well-known for series such as Ratchet & Clank, the original Spyro the Dragon trilogy, and the far more recent Marvel’s Spider-Man, the studio revealed on Monday that they have been acquired in their entirety by Sony, making it the 14th studio to join Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios, alongside other popular developers such as Little Big Planet’s Media Molecule and Horizon Zero Dawn’s Guerilla Games.

Sony Announces First PlayStation Conference in Over a Year

It’s been a year since Sony has held a PS4 conference, but they finally announced that they were going to have one this summer. This will be the first PlayStation conference since E3 2018. This isn’t to say we haven’t gotten any news in all of that time, as Sony simply shied away from large reveals at conferences and simply provided news through other means, such as their State of Play broadcasts, and the exclusive Wired interview that Mark Cerny used to reveal the PS5.
