The recent Disney Investor Day has confirmed that there’s quite a large and noteworthy variety of Marvel shows planned to debut on Disney+ over the course of the next few years. However, apparently not every show actually made the cut for the presentation, as Marvel has revealed that a show titled Marvel Studio: Legends will premiere on Disney+ next month. This show was not mentioned at all during Disney Investor Day, though we’re not sure why.

Apparently, Marvel Studio: Legends is not a new narrative series. Instead, it’s a “greatest hits” show that will put individual heroes from the MCU in the spotlight. Marvel claimed that the show will “revisit some of the most iconic moments from the MCU, one character at a time.” The first two episodes of Marvel Studio Legends will premiere on January 8.

With WandaVision slated for debut come January 15, it comes as no surprise that the two episodes will be focusing on those two characters: Wanda, likely better known to the community as The Scarlet Witch, is played by Elizabeth Olsen, while Vision is played by Paul Bettany. Both characters made their first appearance in the MCU via 2014’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.

While we do know when those first two episodes will come out, Marvel has not yet revealed when future episodes following those two will be released. Whether or not the show will receive constant updates is a mystery: instead, Marvel may choose to use Legends as a sort of refresher for fans before each new MCU series makes its way onto Disney+. After all, there’s a whole lot of MCU to keep up with these days, so fans might need to be reminded of what’s going on and who all has done what and when.

Regardless of the fate of Legends in the future, Marvel fans have plenty of other shows to anticipate over the next several years. WandaVision is only the first upcoming Marvel show on Disney+, and will soon be followed by Falcon and The Winter Soldier in March, as well as Loki in May.

TV shows are not the only thing that is coming in large numbers to the media. There’s plenty of movies and shows in the future. Some of those upcoming MCU titles and series include Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, She-Hulk, and the very special crossover event Secret Invasion. Even that isn’t everything, but of course, we can’t really give a full list right here. Needless to say, there’s a whole lot to look forward to for Marvel fans.

The good news is that there are pretty much years of content on the table, so there shouldn’t be any sort of dry spell as far as Marvel content is concerned. We seem to be entering an era in which many franchises are intent on keeping fans satisfied with a plethora of shows via streaming services. Of course, we’re not complaining, as we are always glad to have more content that’s actually good!
