Halo Infinite for PC Information: Cross-play, Cross-Progression and More

Microsoft has revealed some new information specifically regarding the PC edition of Halo Infinite within a blog post that was focused on the company’s bigger vision for the future of PC gaming. In this blog post, Microsoft shared that Infinite will have both cross-progression and cross-play for multiplayer.

A New Release Date For Halo Infinite Is Confirmed: Fall 2021

Anyone who was waiting for Halo Infinite before knows that it was delayed recently due to issues with COVID-19. At the time that this delay was announced, no specific release date was mentioned for it later down the line, though it was expected for that release to be sometime in 2021. But the uncertainty is gone now, as we have now been officially informed that Halo Infinite is now expected to release in Fall of 2021, developer 343 Industries confirmed this in a blog post. As part of 343’s year-end update, they confirmed the new release date, while also giving expectant fans a peek at some of the game's art, graphics, and customization features.

Tim Longo, who was previously the creative director of Halo 5: Guardians and until recently, the creative director of Halo Infinite, has left 343 industries. He was part of the leadership shakeup 343 had a few weeks ago, in which he was moved from his position as creative director to a different one. Following this change in positions, Longo voluntarily left 343 Industries.
