Bayer Seresto collar works through contact, killing and repelling fleas and ticks, so they don’t have to bite your dog to die. Active ingredients imidacloprid and flumethrin are slowly and continuously released in low concentrations, spreading from head to toes, even the tail, over your dog’s coat and skin.

Bayer Seresto SERESTO-LG Flea and Tick Collar for Large Dogs (NDPS2982) Review
Any pet that enjoys the outdoors is susceptible to ticks and fleas, and medicating against these pests can be SUCH a pain. There are pills which can be challenging to get a pet to swallow, shampoos which quickly lose their efficacy, or ointments which need to be reapplied over time, and may not always spread where we need them.
Serestro has a line of collars for dogs, which seek to provide a solution to all of those issues, combining patented flea and tick protection in the band of a collar, with no smell, no mess, and a collar which lasts far beyond the week or so of a similarly effective shampoo.
We were so happy to experience the long-lasting effect of the Seresto collar, making protection of our dogs as simple as could be: practically thoughtless. Our dogs are wearing a collar anyway; why not multitask? The collar is designed to last roughly seven months with limited water exposure. It was simple enough for us to remove during baths, or when we’d be near water, then changing the collar back to the Seresto when we were ready to venture elsewhere.
We’ve been especially happy with this much more holistic solution to flea and tick maintenance. There is no struggle to administer medication, and we can rest assured that our dogs are protected wherever we might be. When it’s time to replace, it’s as simple as purchasing another collar, and continuing on with our day. Seresto has collars for all sizes of dogs, and we’re happy to share our knowledge and experiences with friends and fellow pet lovers.
