Oculus Quest All-in-One Gaming Headset – 64GB Review
Virtual reality is not an entirely new technology, but as far as video games are concerned, the availability of the technology needed to play them has prevented many gamers from getting involved in it. That’s mostly due to price, and there’s well and truly no way around that. However, if you are ready to pay that price to get involved in virtual reality gameplay, the Oculus Quest All-in-One 64GB Gaming Headset is a very solid choice to make.
The product has many excellent features that make it both efficient and user friendly. For one, it’s ready to be used right out of the box, foregoing the need for complicated setup. All that is needed to do that is the Oculus mobile app. Further cementing the ergonomic simplicity of this device is the insight tracking: the headset can track and reflect your movements in virtual reality without relying on any other external accessories to make that happen, cutting down on how many products you need to buy.
For your hands, the Oculus touch controllers accurately track their movements and reflect their gestures and actions, providing a new depth of interactivity to a wide variety of games that some other setups can’t match. At the very least, you don’t have to buy external items to go along with the headset like you may have to with other products, which of course saves you money.
Finally, there’s the scope of the play environment. The Oculus Quest works in conjunction with your surroundings, meaning you can play your VR games without having to adjust your environment to accommodate the equipment. You can play the game standing or sitting, or in spaces both small or large. This makes it much less of a hassle to use the headset than some of its contemporaries, so if you are completely new to VR gaming, it is an excellent product for introducing yourself to the world and how it all works.
Now admittedly, the product is expensive, coming in at approximately $644. However, this is not a mark against the Oculus Quest, as an expensive price tag is simply the norm for VR related headsets. You aren’t going to find such a product dirt cheap, and it is not as though the Oculus Quest is monumentally more expensive than its counterparts. Moreover, it pays to keep in mind that the Oculus Quest is an All-in-One product: as mentioned previously, it does everything you need to play with VR, which means you don’t have to spend money on outside accessories like you may have to with other products.
And of course, it is worth remembering that this VR headset comes with 64GB capability, which is a great deal and should generally be enough for anything that you would need to do with it. That being the case, even though the Oculus Quest is an expensive investment, it is well worth it for anyone looking to get involved in the VR experience for the first time.
