Coleman Xtreme Cooler 50 Quart Review
We are in a resurgence of outdoor activities, spanning over the last few years. Now, possibly more than ever, people are hiking, biking and camping, and the need to keep food and drinks cool is as prevalent as it ever has been.
Enter the Coleman 50 Quart Xtreme 5 Day Cooler.
Coleman is a brand trusted by many for years on end, and this latest cooler is sure to meet a wide variety of needs. We should start by saying this is not the cooler you strap to your back and take with you on a day hike. This is, however, perfect for tailgating at the game, packing for road trips, picnics, or lugging full of water to soccer games.
The hard outer shell is sturdy, with tough wheels designed to work well on a variety of surfaces. Handles are molded in to the outside, eliminating the potential for breakage, and the layers of insulation can keep ice cold for up to 5 days, even in high temperatures.
The cooler can hold over 80 cans, and it can act as a table with four cup holders in the lid, or as a spare seat, uniquely designed with this purpose in mind. There’s a strategically placed port allowing us to drain excess water without tipping the cooler over, and the compact size is roomy enough for everything we need, without taking up the whole back seat.
In the best way, this cooler has eliminated unnecessary bells and whistles, and refined the design to everything we need, and nothing that we don’t. 5 stars.
