A little extra lunch money never hurt anyone, right? Thanks to the wonderful world of the internet, it is easier now more than ever to make easy money right from your phone. Here are a list of websites ranging from surveys to rating services and cashback programs, and our experience using them to generate some easy cash.
SliceThePie
Getting paid for your opinions? This sweet gig over at SliceThePie is as simple as it sounds. You can select to answer surveys, critique music, retail brands, and magazine covers, and as long as you hit the minimum word count and answer some additional side questions (all specific to the topic), you earn some small change ranging from $0.06-0.17 per item. This can be done on your laptop/computer or even from your phone.
Opinion: You can only cash out through PayPal after first earning $10 in your balance. Additionally, there might be some days where there are no opportunities to rate anything leaving you have to come back the next day to earn money. Some of the branding questions have ambiguous prompts too which means your answer might be rejected for not being “specific enough.” Overall, this is a fast, easy way to earn money for really no effort which can be done on any device at any time.
InboxDollars
InboxDollars has multiple ways of earning money, answering surveys directly and earning points by taking those surveys and reading emails to win different level scratch-offs where you can get some extra money too. They have an easy app that is conveniently functional and new offers regularly throughout the week.
Opinion: Depending on your profile characteristics regarding race, income, or location, you might not be eligible for a majority of surveys. The payout per survey is also extremely low and the minimum balance to payout is $30. This isn’t a scam site, but it does take a long term commitment to actually reach that balance minimum and receive your cash either through PayPal or paper check sent in the mail.
Dosh
This cashback program is incredibly popular. Just connect whatever debit or credit card you want to Dosh, and you can earn some incredible cashback opportunities at different restaurants, hotels, and retail stores. The selection changes regularly but Dosh provides a list as well as a map on it’s app so you can see when and where you can get the best deal.
Opinion: The only issue I have faced is booking a hotel. If you book a hotel through Dosh and happen to be part of that chain’s rewards program, you are ineligible to earn loyalty points on that stay. Also Dosh has a no-refund policy, so if you have to cancel that stay, you’re out of luck.
